Steps
- Simmer the BBQ sauce ingredients in a small saucepan on low heat, until bubbly and thickened. Whisk often as it thickens. This should take about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, and allow to cool before storing.
- Place the pork in a slow cooker. Season it with garlic and onion powder, plus the salt and pepper. Add the stock or water, and cook the pork on low for 8 hours. Allow it to cool slightly, and then gently shred the pork using two forks.
- While the pork cooks, make the coleslaw. Put the coleslaw sauce’s ingredients in a small bowl, whisk, and then coat the cabbage and carrots with sauce, mixing well. Cover the coleslaw, and let it chill as the pork cooks.
- Shred the pork, put your desired amounts of it on each bun, and then top it with the Bonne Maman Concord Grape BBQ sauce and, if desired, the optional pickled red onions. Serve coleslaw on the side or on top of your sandwich, and enjoy!
