Steps
Loaf:
- Preheat oven to 350° F
- In standard mixer with dough hook attachment, add sugar, yeast, salt and 1 Cup of flour.
- In a small pot, add butter & water. Heat until butter is melted. Remove pot from heat and add buttermilk.
- Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients on low, slowly adding remaining flour until a dough ball forms. Increase speed to medium and mix for 2 minutes.
- Slightly grease dough ball & bowl, cover with kitchen towel, and allow to rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
- Roll dough into a rectangle, about 10×20.
- Spread Bonne Maman Cranberry-Cherry Preserves evenly across the dough, leaving about an inch from the edge for sealing.
- Roll dough up, starting from shorter end until it forms one large roll. Seal the ends by pressing down. Slice in half, the long way, and gently braid together.
- Place in greased loaf pan and cover for final proofing. Allow to double in size again then put in oven to cook for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving.
Topping:
- In small bowl, mix Bonne Maman Orange Marmalade and powdered sugar until well incorporated.
- Pour over swirl bread, serve and enjoy!
