Mini Succulent Jar Hack

Paint the outside of the mini Bonne Maman jar with a design of your choice. From faces to polka dots to stripes—your possibilities are endless!

Let the paint dry for 30 to 60 mins. Next, fill the mini jar about ⅓ full with succulent potting soil, creating a base.

Gently transfer the succulent out of its store-bought container, using your hands to loosen the soil, then lightly tugging the stem to remove the plant.

Carefully wipe off the old soil from the extracted succulent’s roots, then place the plant in the mini jar. Add in more succulent potting soil, up to where the jar’s circular rings begin.

Water succulents every 2–3 weeks, making sure not to overwater.
