Peanut Chocolate Pretzel Bites

Ingredients:

Prep Time: 10 min, plus freezing time

Bake Time: 10–12 min

Yield: 24 pretzel bites


Pretzel Bite Directions:


Dollop 24 disk-shaped teaspoons of Bonne Maman Peanut Chocolate Spread onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet, putting space between each teaspoon. Freeze cookie sheet for 30 minutes. While Peanut Chocolate Spread freezes, preheat the oven to 400°F.

Then, in a large pot over medium-high heat, combine water and baking soda, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a steady simmer.


Roll out pizza dough and cut into 1.5-inch squares. Place a frozen Peanut Chocolate Spread disk on top of each piece of dough, wrapping the dough around the Peanut Chocolate disks, covering them completely, and rolling them into ball shapes. Pinch edges to seal.


Working in batches, add balls of dough to the simmering water and cook for about 30 seconds. Remove them with a slotted spoon, and transfer to prepared baking sheets. Brush beaten egg over each ball.


Sprinkle balls of dough with pretzel salt. Bake until deep golden, for around 10 to 12 minutes. Let them cool slightly.
