Ingredients:
- 2–3 Tbsp. Bonne Maman Fig Preserves
- 4 Slices of Carved Ham or Deli Ham of Choice
- (1) 8 oz Brie Cheese Round: Cold and Cut Into Slices About ¼ inch Thick (Place in freezer first for ease in cutting)
- 2 Tbsp. Butter, Room Temperature
- 1 Loaf Rustic White Bread: Such as Ciabatta, Boule, or Sourdough
- *Optional 1 tsp of Dijon Mustard
Grilled Cheese Directions:
Cut your rustic bread in 4 thick slices. Butter 1 side of each piece, and lay 2 slices buttered-side down in a skillet over medium-low heat. To the unbuttered side of the bread, add the optional dijon mustard and then 1 layer of Brie cheese slices, followed by 1 layer of folded ham slices, and top with another layer of Brie slices. For the remaining 2 slices of bread, smear about 1–1.5 tablespoons (or to taste) of Bonne Maman Fig Preserves to the side without butter on each slice. Top the layered ham and Brie bread slices with the fig preserve spread bread slice, and place buttered side up.
Grill sandwiches on each side until golden brown and Brie has melted. Let cool for 2 min, then cut diagonally and serve.
